About AFSMI-German Chapter

The AFSMI-German Chapter is member of the CFSMI (Confederation for Service Management International) www.cfsmi.eu, a European professional association for executives of the technology services sector. The non-profit association is free from economic intents, politically and religiously neutral and autonomous. The AFSMI-German Chapter is one of the most active chapters in Europe. It closely cooperates with other national AFSMI chapters and has recently been honoured as best Chapter of the global association. Its members are representing companies from different high-tech and service industry sectors. Deutsche Telekom, Siemens, IBM, EADS, Bosch-Rexroth and Deutsche Post DHL are just some out of many. The AFSMI German Chapter periodically arranges national and international conferences, realizes projects and initiatives, publishes studies and research and engages actively in transfer between science and business practice.

The CFSMI Confederation for Service Management International was founded April 2010 by independent European Chapters of the former AFSMI (Association for Service Management International). In Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Austria, Switzerland and the Netherlands it represents more than 300 service managers and entrepreneurs from technology and service industry sectors. The antecedent organization AFSMIwas founded in 1975 in the USA and is now merged into TSIA (Technology Services Industry Association. The TSIA www.tsia.com is the leading association dedicated to advancing the business of technology services. Technology services organizations large and small look to TSIA for world-class benchmarking and research, exceptional peer networking and learning opportunities, and high-profile certification and awards programs. CFSMI is seated in Lyon (France) and plays its role as a platform between its members and the worldwide partner TSIA, coordinates the local Chapter activities (events, research and studies) and runs in cooperation with TSIA a yearly Conference (TSE, Technology Service Europe) www.technologyserviceseurope.com, last in Berlin on April 2011.
