Workshop: Process Mining for B2C Service Innovation
published on Friday, July 6th 2012

The NSS team conducted a workshop at WWU in order to further develop ideas for joint research and education for the Networked Service Society. In a guest talk, Prof. Han-Gyun Woo presented his home institution, UNIST. Subsequently, we discussed new ways to conduct process mining in order to reconstruct service business processes and match them with consumer feedback so as to improve overall process efficiency and innovate the current services portfolio. Further areas for research might be cloud services for supporting the real-time execution of businesses. In addition to that, carrying out a similar process in the B2B engineering industries might hold great potential for B2B networking. Besides researchers from WWU and UNIST, representatives from Higher School of Economics (Moscow, Russia) and international industry partners (Surgutneftegaz, Surgut, Russia) joined the workshop. On the education level, we plan to establish further exchange programs for students as well as for researchers, starting from the second half of 2012.
