NSS Meeting@University of Waikato (Hamilton, New Zealand)
published on Friday, August 12th 2011
A status meeting regarding the current developments of the Networked Service Society (NSS) project was held at the University of Waikato in Hamilton, New Zealand. The meeting served as a follow up to discuss the research areas currently focused, as well as to explore the potential of conducting joint empirical research. Although the cooperation between both universities is not funded directly in the course of the NSS project, making use of Social Media such as Facebook for small retailing companies was identified as a promising area for joint research in the future. In addition, we will keep each other posted about the recent trends and developments regarding the networked service society. Apart from the NSS team, several other researchers joint the meeting. Notably, Prof. Dr. Gottfried Vossen from the WWU Münster (Germany) – who currently performs a research semester at the University of Waikato – also represented the ERCIS board of directors in addition to the NSS project coordinator Dr. Daniel Beverungen.
