NSS Kick-Off Meeting @ Brisbane, Australia

The NSS project has been kicked-off by setting up a detailed research agenda for framing our joint research in 2011. Inspired by the three initial headwords of professionalization, digitalization, and sustainability, the research area comprises five topics related to service network research: Service Productivity Management, Service Modeling, Service Networking, and Service Business Process Management.

All research performed in the subsequent steps of the NSS project will be positioned according to these research areas. Being perceived as upcoming hot topics in the IS discipline, the identified topics also frame possible areas for joint project proposals to be subsequently sent to funding bodies in Germany and Australia. The topics were designed consistent with the research portfolios pursuit by the participating research institutions, but were also inspired by the results of the workshop that was held in Brisbane in conjunction with the 21st ACIS conference.
