Invitation to participate in the Service Science Management, and Engineering (SSME) Workshop at HICSS-45

Our team has been invited to participate in the one-day workshop at the Hawaii International Conference of System Sciences (HICSS) (Grand Wailea Maui, January 4, 2012), "Five Years of SSME at HICSS: Looking Back and Looking Ahead". The SSME minitrack at HICSS remains a prime forum for researchers and practitioners to exchange ideas and present research results in the emerging area of service science. This year, the workshop aims to take stock of what has been accomplished in SSME over time, observe what the emerging field has done, and plot a course from here. It will be a forum for presentations and discussion. We gladly accept this invitation to present a few thoughts on "Design Science in Service Research: A Framework-Based Review of IT Artifacts in Germany". Having been published in the conference proceedings in this year's DESRIST conference in Milwaukee (WI, USA), we believe that these results are an insightful contribution to assessing the current status as well as further shaping research in the emerging service science discipline.
